A Letter From Eagle Ridge

Eagle Ridge Arabians is a small breeding farm in Fort Wayne Indiana started from two women’s love of the breed.  My daughter Sarah and I fell in love with the breed in 2000 and that love is still going strong.  We love their beautiful face, their spirit and their intelligence.  Even though they can be a handful, we wouldn’t want to be working with any other breed.  We started out with two horses that we took into the showring and ended up with our own breeding facility housing anywhere from 10 to 15 horses at a time.

We are enjoying our many victories, ranging from local and regional wins to U.S. National Top Tens to Championships, both in open and AOTH.  Of course, in getting to those victories we had our share of “getting the gate.”  Sarah enjoys showing the horses, win or lose.  Of course, winning is much more fun.

We miss my mom, who was a vital part of the farm for several years.  We are lucky to have our girl Friday, Muriel, who helps us with whatever needs done in the barn.  She loves the horses as much as we do.  The grandchildren are learning to help also.

None of this would be possible without the support and encouragement of my husband, Dallas.  He also likes to come help out at the barn whenever his busy work schedule allows.

We are proud of our small farm and welcome visitors at any time.  We are two minutes from the airport and three minutes off I-69 at exit #299.  Come see us!
